The menu item Open Recent Project in the File menu is a shortcut to access up to 10 of the project files that were recently used, as an alternative to using Open Project and the dialog box for choosing the file.
To open a recently used project file, select Open Existing Project from the File menu. MorphoJ stores up to 10 projects that were saved using Save Project As and Save Project or opened with Open Project. These files will be listed in a menu as shown in the following screen shot:
In this example, there are three recently opened files. Select the file to open from the menu.
If no project is currently active in MorphoJ, the selected file is opened immediately. If a project is already open, the following warning appears:
Selecting No will abort the sequence and return to the previous state of the program. Selecting Yes will discard the current project and its contents (so it might be a good idea to save it first), and will open the file just selected in the menu.
The names and locations of up to 10 project files are stored separately for each user of the computer where MorphoJ is installed. Note that renaming or moving project files makes them unavailable for opening in this manner. Files that have been renamed or moved to a new location must be opened using Open Project in the File menu. Fewer than 10 files will appear in the menu if files have been deleted, renamed or moved.
